Matt Cushing

Bio: I am a graduate of East Syracuse Minoa and of the State University of New York at Albany, with a Bachelors in Communications and Sociology. I was born and raised in Minoa, and have lived in Syracuse for 25 of my 30 years. I am a Sales Representative for Henderson Products, who manufactures snow and ice removal equipment for municipalities all over the country. My wife Jen and I moved from the ESM area in June of 2020 after a 2 year search for the right home. We were lucky enough to find the perfect place right here in the Town of Salina. I have done my best to meet many of my neighbors either on walks, social media, when working on my lawn, or elsewhere. I know that many of them have various concerns and I feel I would do well to serve as their representative. My motivation for public servitude comes from two great role models, my mother and father. My mother is the Post Master of Minoa, and serves on the ESM school board. My father is the Highway Superintendent for the Town of Manlius. My intention as the 2 nd Ward Councilor would be to provide a fresh perspective and offer new ideas to the board. I would ensure that the voices, ideas, and concerns of my neighbors are heard.
